When sending quote requests to Icypeed, please provide the actual weight and dimensions of your shipment. This information is crucial as the charges may be calculated based on either the actual weight or the volumetric weight of the shipment, depending on which one is greater.
The formula for calculating the volumetric weight is:
Volume Weight= 2000Length×Breadth×Width

If Icypeed is required to process export documents on behalf of a client, a service fee of R450 will be charged. This fee can also be converted and charged in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) based on the current exchange rate.

For international collections, if Icypeed is engaged to collect a shipment from the client's supplier, a collection fee will be applied. This fee is determined based on the distance traveled to and from the supplier's premises.

To receive a detailed quotation, please send your request to info@icypeed.com. Ensure that your request includes the following information:

  • Actual weight of the shipment
  • Dimensions of the shipment (Length, Breadth, Width)
  • Any special handling or processing requirements

Our team will review your request and provide a quotation that includes all relevant charges based on the provided details. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us at the same email address.

  • Limit: Goods with an actual weight of up to 50 kg can be shipped using our fast courier service.
  • Action for Exceeding Weight: If the weight exceeds 50 kg, the shipment must be processed as cargo goods rather than fast courier.

  • Quotation: A quotation for the cargo shipment can be requested by contacting us at info@icypeed.com.

When calculating shipping costs, it’s crucial to use the greater value between the actual weight and the volumetric weight of the package. This ensures fair pricing based on the space the package occupies during transport.

Volumetric Weight Calculation

The volumetric weight is calculated using the formula:

  • L = Length of the package in centimeters
  • B = Breadth (width) of the package in centimeters
  • H = Height of the package in centimeters
